It’s great partnerships like this that enable Rotarians across the globe to achieve the dream of #eradicatingpolio from the world and making it a safe place for children to live in.

As the Polio Chairperson of our Rotary Club of Dar es Salaam Mikocheni, a title I earned from my passion for advocacy for accessible healthcare for ALL children, I am honored to ensure that this campaign continues.

This year’s fundraising initiative started with a visit to a proposed partner for the #EndPolioNow Walkathon, which will be held on #26thOctober this year.

Supported by our club president, Denis Pasha, we have officially kicked off this campaign. The purpose of the Walkathon will be to #RaiseAwareness of the importance of vaccination against polio and to raise funds for:

#1. The replacement of a fridge at one of the government hospitals that offers these vaccines for free, funded by Rotarians like us and all over the world.
#2. To replace an asbestos roof in the maternity ward that has asbestos.
#3. To upgrade and make the vaccination center child-friendly.
